چکیده
Muscadine grape is a perennial crop that highly responsive to local environmental factors and viticulture practices. Biochar promising soil amendment used improve water nutrient retention promote plant growth. The present study aimed assess the effects of different pinewood biochar rates on status vegetative parameters muscadine cv. Alachua grown nutrient-poor sandy soil, Ultisols (97.2% sand, 2.4% silt, 0.4% clay), mixed with five (0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%) based weight. Variations in moisture, temperature, leaf greenness value [soil analysis development (SPAD) reading], net photosynthesis rate, root shoot dry weights were measured. In addition, root, determined. results indicated higher rate could significantly ( P < 0.05) moisture. can also decrease although there no significant differences among treatments. Regarding status, increased content phosphorus (P), potassium (K), magnesium (Mg), calcium (Ca), as well organic matter cation exchange capacity. Higher contents lead Mg both aboveground belowground tissues decreased nitrogen (N), iron (Fe), copper (Cu) part. There observed SPAD values, photosynthesis, or shoot. This demonstrates addition may enhance uptake; however, it showed physiological performance plants.

Stilbene, ellagic acid, flavonol, and phenolic compounds were analyzed in 19 muscadine cultivars and 2 muscadine selections. Analysis was carried out on muscadine fruit skin, pulp and juice partitions. The major phenolics in muscadine juice, pulp and skins were identified by their retention times and characteristic spectra. Quantification was made by calibration curves of external standards for...

Enzyme degradation of plant cell wall polysaccharides can potentially enhance the release of bioactive phenolics. The aim of this study was to evaluate various combinations of solvent and enzyme, enzyme type (cellulase, pectinase, ß-glucosidase), and hydrolysis time (1, 4, 8, 24 h) on the release of muscadine grape skin and seed phenolics, and their antioxidant activities. Results showed that p...
